There is an empty room in this temple which is believed to be the room of Chitragupta.There is a temple of the only
 Yamraj Maharaj or the God of Death in the world's only Chaurasi temple group located in the tribal Bharmour of Chamba
 district of Himachal Pradesh. It is said that no one can muster the courage to come here while alive. However, 
it is believed that after the death everyone has to go whether he is a believer or an atheist. There is an empty room in
 this temple which is believed to be the room of Chitragupta. Chitragupta keeps an account of the deeds of the soul.
 It is believed that when a creature dies, then the messengers of Yamraj capture the soul of that person and first 
present it to Chitragupta in this temple. Chitragupta gives a complete account of his deeds to the soul.
 The soul is then taken to the front chamber of Chitragupta. This room is called the court of Yamraj. 
In the Garuda Purana also, four gates have been mentioned in the court of Yamraj in four directions.
It is said that even after reaching the temple, many people are unable to muster the courage to go inside the temple. They leave with folded hands from outside the temple. This is the only temple in the world which is dedicated to Dharmaraja (Yamraj).
